Tetsuhiro Ueno is nationally licensed and board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He maintains state licenses in Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia. Along with his general practice he has strong interests in reproductive and gynecological conditions, insomnia, depression and internal diseases. He is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM). Tetsuhiro attended a three-year program at Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCTCM) in Austin, Texas where he earned his masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. When He graduated from his school, he was honored to be selected as valedictorian. Before his graduate level education, Tetsuhiro earned his Bachelor of Art degree in social science from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. After his graduation, he has worked for ten years in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), which is a Japanese governmental organization and responsible for the technical cooperation to the developing countries. During his duties in JICA, Tetsuhiro was assigned to the Assistant Resident Representative of JICA U.S.A. office located in Washington, D.C. and JICA Chile office located in Santiago, Chile.

It seems like totally different between working in governmental organization and working in the clinic, but Tetsuhiro finds one common character in himself -devoting his passion and energy to help people, and sharing the happiness with them- and that is what he really wants to do and makes him happy. He thinks that building a good and trustful relationship with patient is extremely important for to make treatment successful, and his sincere and caring character will help to create trust between patients and him. Tetsuhiro thinks that collaborating with physicians - integrated medicine - is very beneficial for patient's health. This idea makes him practice with other physician in the clinic. He is working with Dr. Louis Ziegler, who was named "Top Chiropractor" by Consumers' Research Council of America, Dr. Mandana Shafai, MD, and Dr. Huymuy Nguyen, DC at Advanced Health Center. In addition to working at Advanced Health Center in Arlington, Virginia, Tetsuhiro has taught acupuncture and herbal treatment as a professor at South Baylo University, School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Annandale, Virginia, which is one of the largest and prestigious Acupuncture schools in the USA. He also taught continuous education class for local community at Arlington Adult Education. Tetsuhiro is living in Arlington, Virginia with his lovely wife, Sachiko, and a cute dog, Haru. For those who have difficulty to remember his name, Tetsuhiro has a nickname as "T.J.", "T" from "Tetsuhiro" and "J" from "Japan".
